09.10.2007 - Police Tour latest: New dates confirmed for New York, Washington, Charlottesville, Charlotte, Atlanta and San Antonio...
The Police Tour Fan Club presale for these shows will start Wednesday, September 12 from 10am (local time)...

With the first leg of their North American tour behind them and their European tour well underway, tour promoters The Next Adventure, A Live Nation Company announced today that an additional 6 dates in North America have been confirmed for The Police this fall.

As previously announced, The Police will return to North American on October 31st for their 4th New York area appearance. And now, with that show completely sold out a 5th and final 2007 concert in New York has been confirmed November 2nd at Madison Square Garden. Additional cities just announced include performances in Washington, November 5th at Verizon Center; Charlottesville, November 6th at John Paul Jones Arena; Charlotte, November 15th at the Charlotte Arena; a second Atlanta appearance, November 18th at Philips Arena and a visit to San Antonio's AT&T Center on November 20th.

The Police Tour Fan Club presales for these shows will start Wednesday, September 12 from 10 noon (local time). Head to ThePoliceTour.com Tickets at this time to purchase your tickets. The tickets for the Washington show go on sale on September 14; for Charlottesville, Charlotte, Atlanta and San Antonio they go on sale on September 15, and for New York on September 17.

Later this year, The Police will play dates in Mexico and South America followed by 2008 performances in New Zealand, Australia with Japanese appearances still to be announced. A total of 2.2 million tickets have been sold to date.

Released earlier this year, The Police celebrate the 30th anniversary of their recording debut with their first double- disc CD 'Best of' collection entitled, The Police (A&M/UMe). The 28 songs bring together the biggest hits from the band's five original studio albums and includes their very first single, 1977's 'Fall Out'.

Special guest Fiction Plane will again join The Police for the North American portion of the tour. Known for their high-energy live shows, this dynamic rock trio released their 2nd album in May. Fiction Plane are: Joe Sumner (Bass); Seton Daunt (Guitar); Pete Wilhoit (Drums).
