I went last night with my wife and a drummer friend of ours who is well into Stewart's style (I play guitar so Andy was the focus of my attention).

The band were awesome and Andy's solos were way better than I was expecting. I can't wait for a DVD release, to start getting some of his chord voicings into my own Police renditions.

All the songs were outstanding with some really cool new interpretations, which kept the original songs' flavours but added some new twists - kind of like a more subdued or less over-produced versions of the '86 'Don't Stand So Close to Me' remix.

I enjoyed myself immensely, by giving my 40 year old body some well overdue pogo'ing exercise during the faster numbers and my voice has gone today from singing eeyooooo's on every track where audience participation should have been compulsory. In all a fantastic gig and made the 28 year wait to see them worthwhile.

However, the only gripe I had was with the audience. I could see pockets of fans really getting into the show but the majority (95%) looked and behaved as if they had been dosed with Ritalin prior to enterinng the stadium. To rant a bit more, why bother to buy the ticket and go to the show if all you want is a tick on your "things to do before you die" list? My 38 year old buddy said "well most here are pretty old and maybe not up to a good mosh session" to which my reply was "funny, I just saw two 55 years olds going for it on stage, with a 64 year old guitar player scissor jumping"...enough said I think.

Other than that it was one, if not the best gig I've ever attended.
